A recent report from eMarketer – an independent market research company that provides insights and trends related to digital marketing, media, and commerce – forecasts that Facebook will bring in $16.3 billion in global ad revenue this year. Along with Instagram (bought by Facebook in April 2012), Facebook ads will account for roughly 65 percent of brands’ social media budgets of an estimated $25.1 billion.
