When Conscious Stories first connected with Monkedia, it was a last ditch effort to save the business after years of struggling to generate sales. The brand always had an incredible product. It simply had been unable to ever sell it profitably.
Enter Monkedia.
We started by working on the brand's web experience, through updated branding, a focus on CRO, and optimizing the product strategy. One of the most important factors in making the brand profitable was increasing the average order value (AOV), which was hovering around $25. By introducing a product bundling strategy, including the functionality to "build your own bundle," we were able to help increase AOV by 400% to around $100. This was transformational in the brand's profitability.
But the most important element in the brand's turnaround? Creative. The artwork in the books was always absolutely stunning, so we knew it had to be the central focus of any advertising campaign. The product fits into a unique niche in the childrens' books space, and our creative strategy helped connect the brand's incredible product with the right parents.
The result? A life-changing 10X revenue growth for Andrew and the team at Conscious Stories in the first year of working together.
We didn't stop there. It was important to setup the brand for long-term success, and part of that strategy involved international expansion. By connecting Conscious Stories with our logistics partners, we were able to help them expand into key international markets. Sales from outside of the United States now accounts for 30% of their revenue annually.
Following this rapid (and sustainable) growth, Conscious Stories is now in a stable place as a business as they continue to grow... just a few years after they were on the brink of closing the business forever.
